About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team in NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for residential construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of Australian building codes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously. Experience with Wonderbuild or similar estimation software will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare accurate take-offs, tenders, and quotes for residential projects

· Use of Wonderbuild would be an advantage, but any software is ok to manage estimation and job workflows.

· Interpret building plans, specifications, and related documents.

· Ensure compliance with Australian building codes and standards in all estimates.

· Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to obtain and evaluate quotes.

· Assist in the preparation of budgets, cost plans, and variations.

· Provide support to project teams by delivering timely and detailed cost data.

· Set up and maintain accurate records of costs, supplier pricing, and market trends.

Skills & Experience Required

· 3 to 5 years' experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.

· Proficiency in any system like Wonderbuild or similar is required.

· Strong understanding of Australian building codes and compliance requirements.

· Proven ability to complete take-offs, tenders, and quoting accurately.

· Strong attention to detail, numeracy, and analytical skills.

· Excellent communication skills to liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

· Highly organised, process-driven, and able to manage multiple estimates at once.
