About Us:

We're building a modern, AI-first CRM for recruiting — a full greenfield product with rapid cycles and real ownership.

You'll be the founding engineer, working directly with the founder to design and build the platform from day one.

Goal: Ship MVP in 60 days, and harden it to enterprise-ready by Day 90.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the architecture: multi-tenant SaaS on 15 (App Router, RSC) with a Vercel-first deployment model; secure by default.
  • Build end-to-end: TypeScript + (Server/Edge Functions), tRPC/REST/GraphQL APIs, Prisma, Postgres (Neon/Supabase), Redis (Upstash), pgvector for semantic search.
  • Integrate AI: pragmatic use of LLM APIs (RAG, dedupe, matching, recommendations) via Vercel AI SDK or direct SDKs; add evals & cost controls.
  • Ship continuously: Vercel CI/CD + preview deployments, background jobs ), observability with Sentry + OpenTelemetry.
  • Set standards: tests (Jest/Playwright), code conventions, RBAC, audit trails, secrets management, and privacy workflows.
  • Collaborate & lead: turn product goals into technical plans; help hire and mentor 3–6 engineers as we scale.

30 / 60 / 90 Day Success:

  • Day 30: Architecture doc, repo scaffold, CI/CD setup, auth/roles live, first UI flows.
  • Day 60 (MVP): End-to-end CRM (contacts, pipeline, notes/tasks, search, email/SMS I/O, AI summaries).
  • Day 90: Hardening - SLOs, audit, DR/backups, performance, automation workflows.

What You Bring:

  • 7–12+ yrs building and shipping SaaS; 0→1 startup or major ownership experience.
  • Strong and TypeScript skills; solid in Prisma/Postgres and API design.
  • Practical AI integration: LLM APIs, embeddings/RAG, evaluation.
  • Familiar with Vercel/Edge, Redis/Upstash, (or similar).
  • Security mindset, clear communicator, thrives with high autonomy.
  • Nice to have: CRM/ERP domain experience; email/calendar/SMS integrations (Resend, Twilio, Google/Microsoft Graph); SOC2/GDPR familiarity; analytics (PostHog/Segment).
