Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer - Conveyor & Mechanism Specialist

This specialist role focuses on the mechanical design, analysis, and optimization of industrial moving systems, with primary expertise in material handling and power transmission.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • CAD & Drafting:
  • Expert proficiency in advanced 3D mechanical CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, PTC Creo) for complex assembly modeling and part design.
  • Proficiency in 2D drafting using software like AutoCAD and comprehensive knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
  • Mechanism Design Expertise:
  • Specialized knowledge and proven experience in designing and optimizing conveyor systems (e.g., belt, roller, chain, screw conveyors).
  • Strong expertise in gear mechanism design, power transmission, bearing selection, and shaft design.
  • Experience with other industrial mechanisms like linkages, cams, and linear actuators.
  • Analysis & Simulation:
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for stress, strain, and vibration analysis.
  • Expertise in material science and selecting appropriate materials for specific operational environments.
  • Ability to perform kinematic and dynamic analysis of moving parts.
  • Manufacturing & Documentation: Understanding of common manufacturing processes (machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication) and ability to create comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) and detailed manufacturing documentation.
