Position Summary

The Mobile Application Developer will be a key member of the engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our native or cross-platform mobile applications used by healthcare professionals and potentially patients for scheduling, appointments, and data access. This role requires a strong focus on security, performance, and delivering a seamless, intuitive user experience (UX) to support critical healthcare workflows.


Key Responsibilities
Development & Architecture
  • Design and build advanced, high-performance, and reliable mobile applications for the iOS and/or Android platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Product and UX/UI teams to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, functional user interfaces.
  • Ensure application scalability and optimize performance for maximum speed and responsiveness across a variety of mobile devices.
  • Integrate mobile applications with back-end services, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange and synchronization.
  • Implement robust local data storage solutions, especially for offline access, ensuring data security at all times.
  • Knowledge in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation for mobile applications.
HealthTech Compliance & Security
  • Adhere strictly to healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA) and industry best practices for securing Protected Health Information (PHI) within the mobile environment.
  • Implement security features such as multi-factor authentication, secure data encryption, and access controls for all data handled by the application.
  • Participate in security reviews and testing to identify and mitigate mobile application vulnerabilities.
Testing and Operations
  • Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code with a strong emphasis on maintainability and testability.
  • Conduct unit tests, integration tests, and collaborate with QA engineers to ensure application quality and stability.
  • Work with the DevOps team on continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for efficient app distribution.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and performance issues quickly and effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in mobile application development.

  • Core Technology:

  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Typescript (crucial for cross-platform frameworks like React Native and for modern mobile web views).

  • Knowledge and experience on React Native (as this was listed for Front-End, it is included here to align cross-platform potential).

  • Platform Expertise (One or More):

  • iOS: Swift, SwiftUI, or Objective-C, with deep knowledge of the iOS SDK.

  • Android: Kotlin or Java, with deep knowledge of the Android SDK.
  • API Proficiency: Experience integrating with GraphQL and RESTful APIs, and handling asynchronous requests.

  • Foundational Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Algorithms, and Data structures.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in mobile application architecture (e.g., MVVM, MVC) and design patterns.
  • Security Focus: Demonstrated experience implementing mobile security protocols and handling sensitive data securely, preferably in a regulated industry.
Education
  • Graduate of BS Computer Science or BS Information Technology.
