Job Summary:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the reliable upkeep and performance of ORCA's refrigeration systems, warehouse automation, material handling equipment, and facility infrastructure. This role focuses on day-to-day maintenance operations, preventive and corrective programs, and ensuring that all equipment runs safely and efficiently. By leading the maintenance team, this role helps minimize downtime, safeguard cold chain integrity, and support ORCA's operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities and Tasks:

Maintenance Operations

  • Manage daily maintenance and repair of refrigeration, HVAC, ASRS, electrical, and automation systems.
  • Ensure quick troubleshooting and resolution of breakdowns to avoid operational delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and asset conditions.

Preventive, Corrective, and Strategic Repairs

  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules and corrective action plans.
  • Oversee strategic repair projects, including major overhauls, system refurbishments, and critical component replacements.
  • Monitor equipment performance and apply predictive maintenance practices to anticipate failures.
  • Recommend upgrades or process improvements to sustain long-term reliability.

Engineering

  • Apply engineering knowledge to analyze equipment performance and propose design or process improvements.
  • Participate in technical evaluations for new equipment, systems, or facility enhancements.
  • Support the planning and execution of energy efficiency and sustainability projects.
  • Provide engineering input for capital projects, expansions, and compliance-related modifications.

Technical Requirements Coordination

  • Identify and consolidate technical requirements (spare parts, tools, consumables, and services).
  • Track spare parts usage and ensure critical items are always available.

Safety and Compliance

  • Enforce adherence to safety standards in all maintenance and engineering activities.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits with complete maintenance and technical documentation.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, coach, and develop the maintenance team.
  • Assign tasks, monitor workloads, and ensure adherence to SOPs.
  • Promote a culture of discipline, accountability, and safe work practices.

Collaboration

  • Work with Technical Services & Strategy on system upgrades and long-term engineering projects.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Compliance to ensure cold chain integrity during maintenance and repair activities.
  • Liaise with vendors and contractors for specialized services and major repair projects.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education & Certification:

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).

· Licensed Engineer or equivalent certification preferred.

Training or certification in refrigeration, HVAC, or facilities maintenance is an advantage

Experience:

  • 6–10 years of technical or engineering experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong background in cold chain logistics, refrigeration systems, facilities engineering, or large-scale warehouse operations.
  • Experience in preventive/predictive maintenance, strategic repairs, and engineering improvement projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php40, Php50,000.00 per month
