The Maintenance Man is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks within the commissary facility to ensure that equipment, utilities, and the work environment are kept in optimal condition. The role includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting in maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the commissary's facilities, equipment, and utilities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, kitchen appliances, refrigeration units, and other equipment.
  • Repair and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and minor structural issues.
  • Ensure all tools and maintenance equipment are properly maintained and safely stored.
  • Coordinate with suppliers or external service providers when specialized repairs are required.
  • Assist in setting up or relocating equipment as needed.
  • Monitor and report any safety hazards, damages, or irregularities to management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in maintenance and work areas.
  • Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or vocational course in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in building or equipment maintenance (preferably in a commissary, food production, or manufacturing setup).
  • Knowledge in basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repair.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual work.
  • Willing to work in [location, e.g., Taguig or assigned commissary site].
