Job Title: Junior Accountant (AU)

Job Overview:

The Junior Associate is mainly responsible in General Accounting tasks such as Bookkeeping, Payroll Processing, Tax Compliance, Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable. Also participates in client engagements and other company activities under the guidance of more experienced staff.

Work Schedule:

6:30AM – 3:30PM | Monday to Friday

Work Specific Setup and Location:

ONSITE (for the first 6 months) | One Ayala, Makati City

What You'll be doing:

  • Payroll processing and STP submissions
  • IAS and BAS preparation and Lodgment (monthly and quarterly)
  • Payroll Tax Preparation and Lodgment
  • Daily Accounts Payable/Receivable Entry and Reconciliation
  • Daily Bank Reconciliation
  • Daily Credit Card Reconciliation
  • Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of delivery of clients' books and accounting records.
  • Provides ad-hoc accounting support.
  • Involves in monthly closing, tax compliance and reporting process under the guidance of more experienced staff.
  • Supporting senior team members with operational tasks

What will make you a great fit:

  • A CPA or non-CPA; Graduate of any 4-year Business Course
  • With knowledge and experience of navigating Xero software and is proficient in Microsoft system (e.g. Excel)
  • With at least 1 year of work experience (international exposure preferably Australian)
  • Have the necessary personal characteristics such as integrity, dependability, flexibility and self-confidence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Is willing to extend himself beyond the immediate demands of the assignment and to accept new responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple systems, and meet deadlines
  • Comfortably using cloud-based tools and communication platforms
