Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and deadline-driven Junior Accountant with payroll experience to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions including financial reporting, payroll processing, and compliance tasks. This role requires a proactive individual who is capable of handling both routine and complex accounting responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of financial statements and timely filing to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., BIR representation)
  • Maintenance of the payroll file and preparation/distribution of monthly payslips
  • Preparation of reports for annual auditing services
  • Development and implementation of internal financial controls, accounting systems, and policies
  • Cash flow management and reconciliation of repayments (cash inflows vs. bank)
  • Preparation of official receipts
  • Generation of management financial reports and budgets
  • Perform other accounting-related tasks as may be assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a Major in Internal Audit
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience in general accounting
  • Must have experience in payroll processing
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Amenable to a 6-day workweek and onsite reporting in Mandaluyong
