Job Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented
Junior Accountant
to join our growing team. As a
Junior Accountant
at MetroMart, you will play a key role in supporting the company's accounting functions, contributing to a smooth and efficient financial reporting process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis, particularly related to digital assets.
  • Assist with tax-related activities and maintain relevant records.
  • Manage and support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
  • Maintain supporting schedules for various entities and accounts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
  • Help in the development and implementation of scalable accounting processes for timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Participate in automation projects aimed at improving the speed and efficiency of the monthly close process.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is accurate and consistent.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual effort and streamline workflows.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits related to specific areas of responsibility.
  • Take on ad-hoc accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis and balance sheet management.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets; experience with advanced functions is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset and a desire to contribute to a dynamic team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of blockchain technology and the crypto industry is desirable but not required.
  • Must be willing to report onsite in Poblacion, Makati.
