Key Responsibilities
  • Pipeline Development: Design and maintain end-to-end streaming pipelines using Dataflow and Apache Spark to handle high-velocity data.
  • Specialized Integration: Manage and process niche data streams including LiDAR sensor data, VETA, and Baggage tracking systems.
  • Stream Management: Architect robust messaging patterns using GCP Pub/Sub to ensure data consistency and low-latency delivery.
  • AOCS Optimization: Monitor and refine AOCS streaming pipelines to ensure precision and reliability for mission-critical operations.
  • Data Modeling: Use Dataform and SQL to transform raw streams into structured datasets within BigQuery.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to improve system reliability and developer efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering with a focus on real-time streaming.
  • Core Streaming Tech: Proficiency in Dataflow Streaming, GCP Pub/Sub, and Apache Spark.
  • Domain Expertise: Direct experience handling AOCS streaming pipelines, LiDAR data, VETA, and Baggage systems.
  • Analytical Foundations: 3+ years of experience with SQL and BigQuery.
  • Programming: Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and pipeline orchestration.
  • Modern Data Stack: Experience using Dataform (or dbt) for managing data transformations.
