About the role

Artech Technology Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust and scalable data platforms that power our cutting-edge solutions. This is a contract position based in Eastwood, Quezon City Metro Manila.

What you'll be doing

  • Design, develop, and optimise data pipelines and data processing workflows to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources
  • Implement data lake and data warehouse architectures to support our business intelligence and analytics initiatives
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our data infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues, and implement proactive measures to maintain high data quality
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the data engineering domain

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or a similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience
  • Proficiency in data processing frameworks and technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and Apache Airflow
  • Strong SQL and data modelling skills, with experience in designing and optimising data warehouse and data lake architectures
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data services, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
