Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists the Application Support Management Unit in the following job responsibilities:

  • Resolves iTOP tickets raised daily by gathering data that are relevant in resolving different  iTOP database issues.
  • Generates and monitors balances from brokers, providing monthly reports and billings.
  • Conducts performance testing in different servers.
  • Provides support for application configuration and upgrades, and problem analysis and resolution for application problems, in conjunction with the users and external application or service suppliers where necessary.
  • Undertakes application problem analysis and resolution for application problems in conjunction with the users and application suppliers.
  • Assists with implementation of PDS application projects.
  • Provides technical input where required.
  • Examines application functionality and performance and provides information about how it can be improved.
  • Performs broker extracts requests by familiarization of all Linux/Ubuntu/Powershell scripts/ Oracle Databases.
  • Monitors maximum threshold of servers for proper handling and maintenance.
  • Performs proper procedural workaround for issues during production hours.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the management.

Requirements:

  • At least one year work experience in supporting applications in capital markets or financial services industry with practical experience in JAVA, Python, PHP, SQL
  • Fundamental knowledge of front-end and back-end programming, Windows and Linux administration, database management, and Office 365.
  • Basic understanding of code migration, documenting configuration changes, and performance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with providing front-end support to internal teams and web-based clients.
  • Foundational knowledge of troubleshooting application errors.
  • Basic awareness of stock market and trading concepts.
  • Introductory knowledge of SFTP/SMTP.
  • Basic understanding of Advanced Encryption Standards (AES).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to innovations in application design.
