Job Description

The Payroll Administrator will manage the end-to-end payroll process, coordinate with HR and Finance, and maintain meticulous payroll records. You will be the go-to expert for payroll inquiries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Process biweekly and monthly payrolls for all employees, including international team members.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee information, earnings, deductions, and benefits.
  • Review and validate timekeeping data from HR and departmental submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
  • Manage payroll adjustments, including overtime, bonuses, commissions, and corrections.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Coordinate with Finance for payroll funding and journal entries.
  • Generate payroll reports for Finance, HR, and leadership teams.
  • Support audits by providing necessary payroll data and documentation.
  • Stay up to date with changes in payroll regulations and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of USA payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state or global environment.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with payroll systems (ADP, Trinet, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for payroll data analysis.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Strong confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with Airtable
  • Familiarity with fashion, retail, or apparel industry payroll structures.
  • Understanding of benefits administration and its integration with payroll.
