Travel Sales Agent

Key Responsibilities:

1.Customer Consultation:

o Understand Client Needs: Discuss clients' travel preferences, such as destinations, budgets, and types of vacations (e.g., beach resorts, adventure tours, cultural trips).

o Provide Tailored Recommendations: Offer personalized travel advice, recommend local and international destinations (including popular Philippine destinations like Boracay, Palawan, Cebu), and suggest travel itineraries based on customer requirements.

2.Booking and Reservations:

o Flights, Hotels, and Transportation: Assist customers in booking flights, hotel accommodations, and local transportation (e.g., taxis, car rentals, ferries).

o Package Deals: Offer all-inclusive vacation packages that may include tours, meals, and activities within the Philippines or abroad.

o Confirmations and Documents: Manage booking confirmations and provide travel documents (e.g., e-tickets, hotel vouchers).

1. Sales and Promotions:

o Selling Travel Products: Actively promote and sell travel-related products and services such as flight upgrades, travel insurance, tours, and additional services.

o Promote Seasonal Offers: Inform customers of promotional deals, discounts, and special packages available during peak tourist seasons (e.g., summer, holidays, festivals).

o Upselling and Cross-selling: Upsell premium services such as luxury accommodations, business class flights, and exclusive tours.

4.Customer Support:

o Address Issues: Assist clients with any issues during the booking process or throughout their travel experience, including handling cancellations, delays, or travel adjustments.

o Visa Assistance: Provide information and assistance in obtaining necessary travel documents (such as visas for international travel) and advise on passport requirements.

1. Administrative Tasks:

o Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of client interactions, bookings, and transactions.

o Booking Systems: Use various reservation systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, or GDS) to process and track bookings efficiently.

o Documentation and Reporting: Handle invoicing, receipts, and provide weekly or monthly reports on sales performance.

1. Market Knowledge:

o Stay Informed on Destinations: Stay up-to-date with popular travel destinations in the Philippines (e.g., Bohol, Davao, Siargao) and abroad. Understand cultural, seasonal, and pricing trends.

o Understand Local Travel Regulations: Be knowledgeable about Philippine travel regulations, tourism laws, and safety guidelines (especially post-pandemic regulations).

Skills and Qualifications:

• Sales and Customer Service Skills: Proven ability to engage with clients and effectively sell travel products.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, both in English and Filipino.

• Attention to Detail: Ensuring all travel arrangements are accurate and in accordance with customer requests.

•Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

• Technology Savvy: Familiarity with travel booking software, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and office software (Excel, Word).

• Cultural Knowledge: Understanding of Filipino culture and regional travel preferences to cater to both local and international clients.

Required Education and Experience:

• Education: With a degree in tourism, hospitality, business, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience: Previous experience in sales, customer service, or the travel industry is an advantage.

• Experience with Filipino tourism destinations is a plus.
