We are seeking an experienced Team Leader – Australian Collections (Insurance Claims) to manage and support a team handling insurance-related collections and recoveries for an Australian account. The role focuses on driving performance, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations, and delivering quality customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of collection specialists handling insurance claims and recoveries
  • Ensure adherence to Australian insurance standards, client guidelines, and compliance requirements
  • Monitor daily productivity, quality scores, and recovery performance against KPIs
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, call calibrations, and performance reviews
  • Support the team in handling escalations, disputes, and complex insurance claims cases
  • Review documentation, correspondence, and system notes for accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare performance reports and recommend process improvements
  • Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to maintain service excellence

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Team Leader or Supervisor experience
  • Knowledge of insurance claims, recoveries, or third-party coordination is a PLUS
  • Familiarity with Australian consumer and insurance compliance standards is a PLUS but not required
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and people-management skills
  • Data-driven and comfortable analyzing KPIs and performance trends
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM/collections systems
