About the role

We are seeking a meticulous and organised Purchasing Assistant to join the Purchasing team at Markenburg International Foods Corp.' in our Marilao Bulacan office. This full-time role will see you provide critical support to the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services required for our dynamic manufacturing operation.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders, requisitions, and vendor invoices, inlcluding import and export processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing needs and source appropriate suppliers
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement activities
  • Support the negotiation of favourable pricing and terms with vendors
  • Monitor stock levels and liaise with the Inventory team to ensure availability of key materials
  • Prepare reports and analysis on purchasing trends and performance
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of purchasing policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  • 1-2 years' experience in a purchasing or procurement support role, ideally within a manufacturing or logistics environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Proficient in the use of procurement and inventory management software
  • Solid numerical and analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline
