We are looking for a visionary and hands-on HR Manager to be the architect of our people operations.
As our first dedicated HR manager hire, you won't just be managing a department, you will be building it. You will design, implement, and scale the foundational systems for talent, culture, and compliance that will support the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities
Your mission is to build the "People Infrastructure" across five core pillars:
- Talent Acquisition: Design an end-to-end recruitment process. You'll define our employer brand, and partner with hiring managers to close top-tier talent.
- Systems & Processes: Select and implement a scalable HRIS. Fine-tune the company handbook, onboarding workflows, and internal policies from the ground up.
- Compensation & Benefits: Benchmark competitive salary bands and design a benefits package that attracts and retains talent in a startup environment.
- Learning & Organizational Development: Enhance performance management frameworks (e.g., OKRs or KPIs) and create pathways for employee growth and leadership development.
- Compliance & Governance: With the supervision of our legal counsel, ensure 100% compliance with local and federal labor laws, manage payroll integrations, and handle all government-mandated filings.
What We're Looking For
- The "Builder" Mentality: You have a proven track record of creating HR processes from scratch, preferably in a fast-paced startup or tech environment.
- Food Manufacturing Expertise: You bring 5+ years of HR experience specifically within manufacturing (Food & Beverage preferred). You understand the nuances of shift scheduling, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance, and the health and safety standards required in a food production facility.
- Efficiency-Driven Operations: You don't just "do" HR; you optimize it. You look for ways to automate administrative tasks and streamline workflows to ensure HR supports our production goals.
- Proactive Problem Solving: In a fast-growing startup, things break. You are a natural "fixer" who identifies gaps in talent or compliance before they become crises and develops creative solutions with minimal supervision.
- High Initiative & Ownership: You are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment. You take full accountability for the "People" side of the business, from the factory floor to the executive suite.
- Strategic Execution: You can think high-level about culture and organizational design but aren't afraid to dive into the weeds of payroll and paperwork.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Deep knowledge of Philippine labor laws and compliance requirements.
- Tech-Savvy: Experience choosing and implementing HRIS.
