Key Responsibilities – General Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Record and post daily financial transactions (sales, expenses, receipts, disbursements).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, adjusting entries, and accruals.
  • Maintain subsidiary ledgers (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets).
  • Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable balances.
  • Issue official receipts, prepare invoices, and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
  • Reconcile subsidiary ledgers with the general ledger on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain organized filing of vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents.
  • Assist in monthly and year-end closing of accounts.
  • Generate trial balances and support schedules for financial reporting.

Job Requirements – General Accounting & Bookkeeping

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in bookkeeping or accounting systems (optional but a plus).

Work Experience

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in general accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Hands-on experience in journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end closing.
  • Exposure to BIR filings, government compliance, or payroll processing is an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reconciliations).
  • Familiarity with Philippine taxation, financial reporting, and government compliance.
  • Knowledge of basic internal controls and documentation procedures.
