About OptiCept Technologies:

OptiCept Technologies is a Food and PlantTech company based in Lund, Sweden. Founded in 2011 by researchers at the world-renowned Lund University. Opticept Technologies was formed by a merger between ArcAroma and Optifreeze AB in 2021.

We are expanding our global operations and looking for a passionate Field Services Engineer to join our team and represent us on-site across the globe.

Role Overview:

As a Field Services Engineer, you will be based in Polomolok, South Cotobato, Philippines, with frequent travel across Sweden, Europe (particularly the Mediterranean), and potentially to Asia, the US, Africa, and South America. You will play a key role in supporting our installations and customers by delivering hands-on technical expertise, ensuring smooth commissioning, troubleshooting, and long-term support of OptiCept's equipment.

You will report directly to our Chief Operating Officer (COO) and collaborate with Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, and our distributors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand customer manufacturing processes and recommend technical solutions
  • Install, commission, and optimize equipment performance on-site
  • Train and support installation partners and distributors
  • Manage application development projects
  • Contribute to product improvement by liaising with R&D
  • Test and evaluate new equipment designs (CEPT and VI technologies)
  • Provide technical process support to Business Development
  • Negotiate and manage suppliers during installation phases

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering
  • With 8–10 years of experience in the food processing industry is preferred. However, recent graduates with 2–3 years of direct, customer-facing experience in a related field are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in food processing is a plus.
  • Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus)
  • Proficient in PLC systems, especially Siemens
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Valid driver's license and readiness for global travel
  • Familiarity with both mechanical and electrical systems
