Finance Shared Services Director

The Finance Shared Services Director will help drive the Finance Shared Services team of the company to growth and success. Apart from growing the team, the role will strengthen capabilities within the function to drive excellence and delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading and growing the Finance Shared Services organization of the company
  • Works closely with partners and clients to ensure business objectives and targets are aligned and delivered
  • Drives excellence in delivery, meet KPIs, and ensures processes are adhered to and aligned with compliance
  • Define and drive strategies for operational excellence
  • Lead and grow a team of high performing Finance professionals, predominantly Accounts Payable that support North America partners
  • As part of shared services, leads a team of Admin Assistants that support different Sun Life entities globally
  • Create process efficiencies, enhancements, and automation where applicable; drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize productivity
  • Collaborate with different teams to drive transformation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • At least 15 years relevant work experience
  • CPA required
  • Must have experience in Shared Services / BPO, supporting finance account
  • Deep understanding of Shared Services / BPO business operations
  • Must have experience leading and developing teams
  • Strong experience and proficiency and financial reporting, driving process improvements and transformation, compliance
  • Highly organized, structured, resilient
  • Excellent English communication skills (oral / written)
  • Thought leadership
  • Amenable to mid shift work schedule and hybrid set-up
