Position Summary:

This role is critical to the effective management, manipulation, governance, and analysis of business data across multiple systems. The Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making, ensuring data quality, and contributing to business insights that drive performance.

Responsibilities:

Data Management & Integrity

• Collect, validate, and maintain data from multiple internal systems.

• Ensure consistent data standards across business units.

• Perform data cleansing, transformation, and integration tasks.

• Data Governance

• Support and enforce data governance frameworks and policies.

• Work with system owners to maintain data security, privacy, and compliance with Australian legislation.

• Identify and resolve data anomalies and inconsistencies.

• Data Analysis & Reporting

• Develop and maintain dashboards, visualisations, and reports using tools like Power BI.

• Provide actionable insights through deep analysis of financial, operational, and client data.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define KPIs and metrics.

• Stakeholder Engagement

• Liaise with business users, IT teams, and management to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.

• Train and support users in accessing and interpreting data outputs.

Process Improvement

• Recommend and support automation opportunities to streamline data-related tasks.

• Contribute to continuous improvement in data processes, reporting, and data literacy across the firm.

What You Need:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.

• Essential - MS SQL database, Power BI
  Desirable - HubSpot

• Demonstrated experience in a data analyst or similar analytical role.

• Experience working with Microsoft data and analytics tools, such as Power BI, Excel, Azure

• Experience working with databases such as, NetSuite, Xero, HubSpot etc.

• Additional certifications in data analysis, governance, or Power BI are advantageous.

• Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating external data sources.

• Solid understanding of data structures, databases, and data warehousing concepts.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.

• Proficiency in SQL and ability to write complex queries to extract and manipulate data.

Desirable

• Experience working in cloud-first or Azure-native environments.

• Exposure to data governance, data quality, or data lifecycle management frameworks.

• Strong capability in general-purpose programming or scripting languages (e.g. Python, R, PowerShell, DAX, Power Query or equivalent).
