PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

  • The Duty Manager is tasked to ensure that the Front Office shifts are run efficiently, providing outstanding guest service, assisting the Front Office associates and maintaining a calm and professional environment at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities

PROVISION OF GUEST SERVICE

  • Supervise the overall operations of the Hotel during the shift.
  • Act on all points that need to be resolved and information that needs action.
  • Maintain a high level of public relations with the clientele.
  • Ensure to maintain an accident or incident report log for the review of the Front Office Manager and the Hotel Manager
  • Ensure that sufficient rooms are available for sale by closely coordinating with the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Achieve the maximum possible occupancy before the close of the shift through revenue management.
  • Inspect as many rooms as possible, including the VIP arrivals.
  • Inspect all internal areas and ensure that public areas are maintained according to the required standards.
  • Handle guest complaints in the most courteous and professional manner.

SUPERVISION OF ASSOCIATES

  • Oversee the activities of the of the Front Office associate during the shift.
  • Ensure that only authorized personnel take hold of the master key.
  • Promote a positive working environment by providing positive feedback.
  • Uphold a warm and friendly working environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree holder (Hospitality/Tourism/Business)
  • At least 5 years of solid Hotel experience
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Team-player, flexible and can stand pressure.
