Position Summary:

The Allocations Consultant is responsible for coordinating and assigning available nursing staff to hospitals, aged care and residential facilities, community care, and other healthcare settings. The role requires excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills to ensure timely and efficient staff deployment while maintaining strong relationships with healthcare partners and nursing personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and allocate nursing staff to various healthcare facilities based on availability, skills, and client requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff, hospital allocation teams, and clinical or facility managers to manage daily workforce needs.
  • Assign daily tasks to Contact Centre Team Members to ensure timely completion of all weekly objectives.
  • Maintain and update nurse availability schedules on a weekly basis.
  • Escalate
    Critical Incident Reports
    promptly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Promote the company's services to nursing staff and healthcare clients through professional communication and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and service standards.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with nurses, clients, and internal teams.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office and scheduling systems).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Flexibility to work across early and late shifts on a rotating roster.
  • Understanding of nursing roles, departments, and healthcare settings (desirable).

Additional Requirements:

  • Adherence to company policies and procedures in line with
    ISO Quality, Safety, and Environmental
    standards.
  • Correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Compliance with manual handling techniques and workplace safety practices.
  • Familiarity with site-specific safety requirements, including fire exits and assembly points.
  • Maintain a clean and safe shared workspace.
  • Participate in scheduled fire drills and safety exercises.
