Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant
You will ideally have training from a big 4/audit firm as we have seen that this profile enables quick progression at CTA (or UK/Australian experience on Xero).
This is an exciting role for someone who has the ability to work from home with a strong Internet connection. We are a professional firm of accountants that offers accounting, tax and bookkeeping services for small businesses all around the UK. We have a small team that is approachable and will be keen to further your development. We already have several team members from the Philippines so you will have a strong support system in place along with super flexibility to manage your own hours.
All of the software and tools we use are online-based bookkeeping apps as well as office 365 etc. We use Xero for bookkeeping, Apron for receipt extraction etc and Karbon for practice management along with other apps in our overall practice stack. Full training will be given although strong Xero experience is a huge benefit.
Although you are ideally qualified as an accountant, your main role will be to look after the day-to-day bookkeeping for small to medium-sized businesses processing receipts in Apron and reconciling bank transactions in Xero. We will look to reward your development with the work you love to do.
UK experience helpful but not essential.
You will be part of a small and growing team (13 across UK and PH) and we want to invest in someone for the long term to grow with our business.
Candidates with UK-specific experience will be in a strong position. Also candidates with Australian experience and with a 'Big 4' background.

Note that we pay 13 pay periods, therefore divide the listed salaries by 13 for monthly remuneration.
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- Required language(s): English
- Ideally be a qualified CPA (not essential with the right experience)
- At least 4 Year(s) of working experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Desirable Skill(s): Xero experience desirable, Receipt bank (Dext) experience desirable, Ideally minimum 4 years Accounting experience an advantage, Attention to detail a must, Good attitude (can do)
- Must be confident with online software/apps
- Must be able to work from home
- Will ideally have a designated pc/laptop for work use with adequate specification
- Must have a suitable internet connection (ideally 8 MB download and 1 MB upload+)
- We require UK availability online from 10am to 12pm UK time, apart from this you can have as much flexibility as you like/

Full-time salary is based on 35 hours a week although we base our role on performance outputs with a certain amount of accounts jobs completed per month rather than hours
Need to have a designated workspace ideally from home with a suitable computer although we can offer options after 3 months to help fund this
