Job Summary:

BE Resorts Mactan is looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness, orderliness, and maintenance of both guest rooms and public areas. This role ensures that the highest standards of hospitality and sanitation are consistently met throughout the resort. The ideal candidate is a proactive team leader who can coach, train, and motivate staff while maintaining a sharp eye for detail and upholding our commitment to guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Public Area Oversight:

  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and sanitation across all public areas of the resort, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and shared facilities.
  • Conduct routine inspections to assess cleaning quality, safety hazards, and maintenance needs.
  • Ensure proper placement and upkeep of fixtures, furniture, plants, and décor in assigned areas.
  • Supervise the correct usage, storage, and maintenance of cleaning equipment and tools.
  • Coordinate immediate repairs for any damaged or non-functional equipment or fixtures.
  • Maintain and replenish par stock levels of cleaning supplies and consumables.
  • Lead weekly inventory counts and monitor consumption levels; report losses or misuse.
  • Prepare reports on unusual incidents, maintenance issues, or safety concerns in public areas.
  • Train, guide, and evaluate public area attendants under your supervision.

Guestroom Management:

  • Ensure fast and efficient turnover of clean, well-maintained guest rooms.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms to ensure quality of cleaning, amenities setup, and safety compliance.
  • Supervise inventory and maintenance of linen, guestroom supplies, and cleaning tools.
  • Ensure room pantries are fully stocked and organized according to standards.
  • Coordinate closely with the Front Office on room status, guest preferences, VIP arrangements, and special requests.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Team for room repairs or deep cleaning of out-of-service units.
  • Personally oversee VIP room preparation and attend to guest requests, feedback, and complaints as needed.
  • Lead the training and supervision of room attendants assigned to guest floors.

Qualifications:

  • College graduate, preferably with a degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related fields.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in hotel housekeeping, with at least 1 year as a supervisor.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coach and develop staff.
  • Excellent eye for detail, cleanliness, and presentation.
  • Skilled in inventory management, floor care, and coordinated housekeeping operations.
  • Persistent, resourceful, and capable of problem-solving under pressure.
  • Pleasant, patient, and professional demeanor when dealing with both guests and staff.
  • Knowledgeable in health and safety standards, hotel sanitation practices, and basic maintenance coordination.
