POSITION SUMMARY
The Research and Development Engineer is mainly involved in new project/process development and improvements with direct responsibility for some projects. Specifically, this position initiates, evaluates plans, executes, and reports on activities related to the development of new projects, improvements or cost savings ideas. The R&D Specialist should stay informed on what is happening in the research and development field at large in order to make sure the company is up-to-date and current with the most advanced R&D developments. This position carries the responsibility to collaborate with team members and help grow their capabilities for contributing to the company at large.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Meeting with business management, marketing, and the R&D team to discuss project ideas.
2. Creating product research reports and evaluating similar potential feasible projects for company development.
3. Introduce product innovations thru trial implementation and
4. Establishing project goals with the approval of R&D approval and collaborating with various department and operations on project feasibility.
5. Redesigning existing projects to enhance functionality or reduce costs.
6. Developing research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing projects and study the potential of new products.
7. Preparing project designs and as subject for approval of the R&D Manager before presenting to the management and board members.
8. Research, design and evaluate materials, assemblies, processes, and equipment.
9. In-charge on delegated research project/s as well as on-going projects, analyze results and provide recommendations based on findings.
10. Assessing the scope of research projects and ensuring they are on time and within budget.
11.Be present at industry conferences on research topics of interest.
12. Timely resolving project issues.

EDUCATION

Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering / Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electronics & Communications Engineering, Information Technology / Computer

EXPERIENCE

At Least one to two (1-2) years of experience as Research & Development Specialist in the engineering field or in the same capacity,
