JOB SUMMARY:

The Research and Development Officer will be responsible for conducting research on maritime curriculum, and networks with known organization to benchmark teaching practices, marketing and maritime trends and other materials that are essential business development.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Knowledgeable on Maritime Industry, Training courses and curricula. Reliable and complete in research information that would aid the effective development and implementation of training programs and Business Development/Continuity.
  • Benchmark maritime training programs, curricula, and best practices against global standards and industry leaders.
  • Analyze data and compile reports on maritime market trends, teaching methodologies, and educational tools.
  • Contribute to the development of business strategies by providing research-backed insights into market trends, competitive intelligence, and potential opportunities for growth.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations to support business development activities.

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of a 4-year course preferably Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least two (2) years related work experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Can adapt to a fast-paced environment, able to multitask simultaneously, goal oriented
  • Strong scientific background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
