About the role

Our client, CHINA CONSTRUCTION FRONT GEN. DEVT. CORP.', is seeking a highly skilled Chinese Translator to join their team in Binondo Manila City Metro Manila. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and development within the company.

What you'll be doing

  1. Translating a wide range of documents from Chinese to English and vice versa with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  2. Interpreting during meetings, conferences, and other business interactions involving Chinese and English-speaking parties
  3. Providing cultural insights and recommendations to ensure effective communication and understanding between Chinese and English-speaking stakeholders
  4. Proofreading and editing translated materials to ensure they are of the highest quality
  5. Maintaining confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
  6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company's overall objectives

What we're looking for

  1. Fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
  2. Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
  3. Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Chinese Translator, preferably in a business or commercial setting
  4. Strong research and problem-solving skills to handle a variety of translation assignments
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work
  6. Familiarity with translation software and tools, such as CAT tools, is a plus
