Job Description:

A Marketing Research Officer is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data about markets, products, and consumer behavior to help organizations make informed decisions. They support marketing strategies by providing insights into customer needs, preferences, and trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research:

  • Design and conduct surveys, focus groups, interviews, and other research methods.

  • Gather and analyze data on competitors, market conditions, and consumer demographics.
  • Monitor and forecast marketing and sales trends.

  • Data Analysis:

  • Interpret data using statistical tools and techniques.

  • Generate reports, charts, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Identify marketing opportunities and recommend strategies based on research.

  • Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and present detailed research findings to marketing teams and senior management.

  • Provide actionable insights to guide product development, pricing, promotion, and placement strategies.

  • Project Management:

  • Manage external research agencies when necessary.

  • Oversee research budgets and timelines.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of data collected.

  • Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, product development, sales, and finance departments.

  • Support campaign evaluation by analyzing performance metrics.
