JOB DESCRIPTION & SCOPE OF WORK

• JOB IDENTIFICATION

Job Title: Production Designer/ CAD Operator

• ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

Reports to: Lead Production Designer

Supervises: N/A

• JOB SUMMARY

The Production Designer/ CAD Operator is responsible for preparing technical documents, drafting detailed working drawings and blueprints, including understanding written and verbal instructions, implementing feedback from clients and senior designers, explaining technical aspects clearly to the team, and conducting research when required.

• DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Draft accurate, orderly, readable and high-quality detailed drawings to be sent for review by Lead Production Designer and Senior Designers.
• Make changes to technical drafts based on the recommendations of the Senior Designers and Clients.
• Work closely with Senior Designers and Junior Designers to make sure that the design is precise. Also, to ensure that contract responsibilities are met.
• Meet all project specifications and formatting within company principles and standards.
• Understands the equations, calculations and written instructions from designers before beginning a CAD drawing.
• Uses manual drawing skills for plans that cannot be computer generated.
• Liaise with architects, engineers and designers to understand their design requirements and provide technical advice.
• Perform any other design-related tasks and assignments as instructed by The Management.
• Coordinate and support design managers and Construction and Project Management team.
• JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Educational Background:

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Drafting/ Design, or other similar fields.

Work Experience:

Must have at least 1 year of AutoCAD experience in the Architectural/ Interior Design discipline preferred.

Training:

Trained in AutoCAD technologies and/ or other drafting applications.

Skills:

Must be highly proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD, preferably with intermediate to advanced computer skills and should be detail oriented, highly motivated, able to handle constructive feedback and work in a team environment.

Knowledge:

Must be knowledgeable in Computer Aided Design, Architecture & Interior Design, Basic Microsoft Programs and other technicalities.

• Must be highly reliable – can take responsibility for their assignments, strictly meet deadlines, and should be able to perform accurate, consistent and detail-oriented work.

Office-based:

In this position, the employee will be required to perform 100% full-time office work focusing on preparation and production of working drawings and technical details using Computer Aided Design, and close coordination with Lead Production Designer, Senior Designers and Junior Designers.
