The
Government Affairs and Advocacy Officer
plays a critical role in supporting San Miguel Corporation's government and public affairs efforts. This position drafts policy proposals aligned with the company's advocacy and builds relationships with key stakeholders in government and industry. The role requires strong legislative knowledge, writing skills, and a solid grasp of public affairs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • 2 years of professional experience in government affairs, public affairs, advocacy, and legislative work.
  • Solid understanding of the legislative process and strong legislative writing and policy drafting skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills to monitor and interpret legislative developments.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials, agencies, and industry stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of reports.
  • Upholds a high level of honesty and integrity in handling sensitive information and representing the organization.

Job Overview:

  • Monitors and analyzes bills and resolutions in the Senate relevant to the San Miguel Group.
  • Draft bills and resolutions that align with the company's advocacy goals and objectives.
  • Establishes and maintains effective network with key stakeholders, including government agencies, legislative offices (specifically Senate), industry associations, and advocacy groups.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
