We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented R&D Chemist to join our Cosmetic Manufacturing Laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, improving, and testing cosmetic formulations—including skincare, haircare, and personal care products—while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Marketing teams to transform product concepts into stable, market-ready formulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research, formulate, and develop new cosmetic and personal care products in line with market trends and customer requirements.
  • Reformulate or improve existing products to enhance quality, stability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Conduct laboratory-scale trials and oversee pilot production runs.
  • Prepare and maintain formulation records, raw material specifications, and stability data.
  • Ensure all formulations comply with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and company policies.
  • Evaluate raw materials for suitability and performance in formulations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, regulatory staff, and marketing teams during product development.
  • Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation for product transfer to production.
  • Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety within the laboratory according to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned by management as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in cosmetic, personal care, or related formulation work.
  • Strong knowledge of raw materials used in cosmetics (emulsifiers, surfactants, actives, preservatives, etc.).
  • Familiarity with GMP, GLP, and FDA regulatory requirements for cosmetics.
  • Good analytical and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Creative mindset with a focus on product quality and consumer trends.
