PRODUCTION HEAD

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fashion Design & Development:

  • Create and present fashion designs for children's apparel, ensuring they align with market trends and brand identity.
  • Develop sketches, technical drawings, and garment specifications for production.
  • Collaborate with the merchandising team to select fabrics, trims, accessories, and embellishments that enhance the designs.

Sample Creation & Approval:

  • Work closely with sample makers to ensure accurate execution of designs.
  • Review and refine prototypes, ensuring fit, construction, and finishing meet brand standards.
  • Provide feedback and necessary adjustments before mass production begins.

Production Oversight:

  • Supervise the entire production process, including fabric cutting, sewing, tagging, and finishing.
  • Ensure smooth workflow, efficient resource allocation, and timely completion of garments.
  • Monitor production output to ensure it meets quality and quantity targets.

Quality Control & Fit Checking:

  • Conduct quality checks at different stages of production to maintain high standards.
  • Inspect garments for stitching accuracy, fabric alignment, proper fit, and correct tagging.
  • Ensure all finished products meet company guidelines before approval.

Production Planning & Coordination:

  • Develop and manage production timelines to meet deadlines.
  • Communicate with the production team to ensure smooth execution of designs.
  • Coordinate with the merchandising team to align on cost efficiency and material availability.
  • Work with coordinators to track moving and non-moving inventory items.

Supplier & Vendor Coordination:

  • Communicate with fabric, trim, and accessory suppliers to confirm availability and lead times.
  • Assist in supplier meetings to discuss fabric selections, new materials, and potential sourcing opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and quality materials.

Material & Sample Management:

  • Track and organize fabric swatches, trims, accessories, and material samples for reference and production needs.
  • Follow up with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure on-time arrival of materials for sampling and bulk production.

Market & Trend Research:

  • Stay updated on fabric trends, new materials, and industry innovations.
  • Conduct competitor research to understand market positioning and pricing strategies.
  • Provide insights and suggestions on fabric, trim, accessory, and embellishment selections based on fashion trends and cost considerations.

Tagging & Final Product Monitoring:

  • Ensure proper tagging of garments before distribution.
  • Oversee the correct placement of price tags, labels, and branding elements.
  • Work with the team to address any tagging issues before final approval.

Job Qualifications:

  • The candidate must be a Graduate of Fine Arts, Fashion Design, Marketing or Advertising Management, or any related courses
  • With at least 2 years of working experience in a clothing company or garments manufacturing
  • Familiar with Design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Canva, and the like
  • Digitally literate
  • Managing time well in order to complete a variety of tasks
  • Know-how in the technical aspects of garments
  • Knowledge of raw materials (fabrics), accessories, and others
  • Can work even under pressure
  • And can start immediately
