About the Role

Job Title: Senior Accounting Associate

Reports to: Accounting Head

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Essential Responsibility and Function:

The Accounts Receivable Senior Associate will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee and process invoicing based on sales, deliveries, or POS reports, ensuring accuracy and timely issuance.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer accounts to ensure timely collections.
  • Apply and reconcile customer payments (cash, credit card, bank transfers) to the correct accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing, payments, or deductions.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Delivery teams to validate orders and resolve client concerns.
  • Review and maintain accurate aging reports and provide updates to management.
  • Assist in month-end closing tasks, including reconciliation of AR sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
  • Support external and internal audit requirements with appropriate documentation.
  • Guide and support junior AR associates in daily tasks and best practices.

Job Requirements:

Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead role; experience in the Food and Beverage industry is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in accounting software and POS/invoicing systems (e.g., Odoo, or industry-specific tools).
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
