MAINTENANCE HEAD

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Head is responsible for overseeing the entire maintenance department to ensure that all facilities, equipment, and assets are properly maintained, safe, and operating at optimal efficiency. This role includes planning, supervising, and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Supervision
  • Manage and supervise the maintenance team (technicians, helpers, utility staff, etc.).
  • Delegate tasks and monitor work progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide training and development to maintenance personnel.
  • Maintenance Operations
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of buildings, equipment, machinery, and facilities.
  • Ensure all utilities (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, etc.) are functioning properly.
  • Respond promptly to urgent repair needs and breakdowns.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for specialized services.
  • Planning & Scheduling
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  • Prepare maintenance work plans, budgets, and manpower allocation.
  • Ensure availability of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with building codes and government regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment for hazards or defects.
  • Implement workplace safety programs and emergency response measures.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and inventory of supplies.
  • Prepare reports on maintenance activities, costs, and improvement recommendations.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure cost-efficient maintenance operations.
  • Coordination with Management
  • Work closely with other departments to address maintenance concerns.
  • Recommend upgrades, replacements, or improvements for facilities and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of BS in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering, or related technical field required.
  • At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in maintenance management or similar role and 2-3 years supervisory / managerial experience.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with local building, electrical, and fire safety codes
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and facility plans
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems
  • Willing to travel and perform site inspections.
  • WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Saturday
