An appliance promoter's job is to engage customers, promote and sell appliances like TVs and achieve sales targets. Key responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, explaining features and benefits, maintaining attractive product displays, and providing excellent customer service. The role also involves gathering customer feedback, reporting on market trends, and collaborating with store teams.

Core responsibilities

  • Sales and promotion:

Actively promote and sell appliances by engaging customers, explaining features, and helping them make purchase decisions.
- Product demonstrations:

Confidently demonstrate how appliances work for individual customers or groups.
- Sales targets:

Achieve monthly sales targets and contribute to the overall performance of the store or brand.
- Customer service:

Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Visual merchandising:

Maintain product displays to be attractive and well-organized, and ensure products are properly stocked and presented.
- Feedback and reporting:

Gather customer feedback and report market trends or competitor activities to management.
- In-store activities:

Participate in promotional events, marketing campaigns, and in-store activities to increase brand visibility.
- Record keeping:

Keep records of sales activities and prepare daily sales reports.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Communication and interpersonal skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively, listen to customer needs, and build rapport.
  • Confidence and enthusiasm: Comfortable with public speaking and presenting products with energy and clarity.
  • Customer focus: A customer-centric attitude with a passion for technology and helping customers find the right products.
  • Sales aptitude: Proven experience in sales is recommended, along with the ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Product knowledge: Willingness to learn about various home appliances.
  • Organizational skills: Ability to manage time, work independently, and maintain a tidy work area.
  • Education: Typically requires a high school diploma, with a degree in marketing being a plus.
