We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Tax Processing Assistant to support our finance operations. In this role, you will compile tax data from payroll spreadsheets, prepare tax calculation sheets, transfer information to official tax forms, and coordinate benefit and loan payments. You will also be responsible for sharing filings with vendors and local tax authorities. The ideal candidate has strong payroll or accounting experience, is highly organized, tech-savvy, able to meet deadlines, maintains strict confidentiality, and can work independently while delivering accurate, timely results.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern Time

Scope:

  • To compile taxes from payroll spreadsheet to a separate sheet called tax calculation sheet.
  • Transfer data from calculations sheet to official tax forms
  • Prepare benefit payments - health insurance + pension forms
  • Prepare loan payments and share with respective vendors
  • Share filings with local vendor & tax authorities

Requirements

  • 3+ years previous experience working with numbers in Payroll or Accounts DeptMinimum of an Associate Degree in related discipline required
  • Should be tech savvy
  • Should be well organized and disciplined
  • Ability to honor deadlines and meet or exceed expectations
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and be able to execute and see a project through to the end
  • Confidentiality is a must
  • Be results oriented
