Business & IT Alignment
- Act as the primary IT relationship owner for assigned business units, ensuring alignment between IT initiatives and business goals.
- Translate business strategies into actionable IT roadmaps, project initiatives, and BAU enhancements.
- Provide strategic inputs into the definition and ongoing evolution of the client's overall IT strategy.
- Conduct regular client touchpoints and governance meetings to communicate project status, priorities, risks, and dependencies.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with business leaders, stakeholders, and key decision-makers.
- Negotiate priorities, delivery timelines, and resource constraints while balancing business expectations and delivery realities.
- Own and manage end-to-end delivery, from project idealisation and initiation through implementation and handover.
- Lead ideation, assessment, and initiation activities for new projects, enhancements, and subscription-based solutions.
- Oversee the assessment and evaluation of BAU system enhancement requests, ensuring feasibility, value, and alignment.
- Review, validate, and coordinate project costs, budgets, and funding requirements with relevant business units.
- Support preparation of business cases, cost estimates, and high-level requirements to firm up solution direction.
- Work with business and group stakeholders to define and manage priority levels across competing initiatives.
- Identify delivery risks, resource contention, and schedule impacts, recommending mitigation strategies.
- Ensure delivery follows agreed governance, standards, and project management best practices.
- Establish strong collaboration across IT delivery teams, vendors, and business units.
- Act as a key escalation point for delivery issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuity of service.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and partnership between IT and the business.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of solid experience as an IT Account Manager, handling both projects and BAU system enhancements.
- At least 3 years in a client-facing role, with demonstrated success in managing stakeholder relationships and delivering IT solutions.
- Proven experience in IT Project Management, with hands-on involvement in delivery execution.
- Demonstrated experience across multiple delivery frameworks, including Waterfall and Agile.
- Successful delivery of at least one IT project in the capacity of Delivery Manager or Project Manager.
- Experience in contract and commercial management, including SOW, MA, MITA, or similar agreements.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-aligned insights for non-technical audiences.
