A logistics associate manages the flow of goods within a company's supply chain, handling inventory management, coordinating shipments, and ensuring timely deliveries by working with vendors and transport services. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory, tracking shipments, managing documentation, resolving issues with lost or damaged goods, and coordinating with other departments and third-party providers to keep operations efficient and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management:

  • Maintaining accurate inventory records.

  • Monitoring the flow of products in and out of the company.
  • Identifying and resolving any discrepancies in stock.

  • Shipping & Distribution:

  • Coordinating the shipping of incoming and outgoing products.

  • Scheduling deliveries and managing transportation logistics.
  • Working with shipping and delivery companies.

  • Documentation:

  • Creating and maintaining accurate records of inventory and deliveries.

  • Preparing reports, invoices, and other necessary documentation.

  • Problem Solving:

  • Responding to and resolving complaints related to lost items or damaged goods.

  • Addressing logistics-related issues and queries from customers or other teams.

  • Collaboration:

  • Working with vendors, customers, transport companies, and warehouse staff.

  • Communicating with other distribution centers and ensuring smooth operations across the supply chain.

  • Quality Control:

  • Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.

Skills Required
