Responsibilities

  • Perform geotechnical analysis of soil samples and assess construction site conditions.
  • Analyse soil parameters and evaluate the stability of marine structures under normal and seismic conditions.
  • Analyse soil parameters and provide input for dredging production planning.
  • Verify and validate assumed soil conditions during project execution.
  • Prepare and develop soil databases and soil models for all tenders and projects.
  • Analyse geotechnical data and prepare Geotechnical Interpretative Reports (GIR).
  • Conduct analysis, provide recommendations, and design ground improvement works for structural support.
  • Manage and organise technical aspects of ground improvement works.
  • Develop design drawings and technical specifications for construction projects.
  • Review and approve geotechnical designs developed by third-party consultants.
  • Plan and conduct geotechnical investigations effectively.
  • Analyse geotechnical findings, perform required design calculations, and prepare data reports for the Manager.
  • Develop proposals and prepare cost and schedule estimates for investigations.
  • Provide guidance to project teams in field inspection activities and silt monitoring during reclamation works.
  • Communicate with customers and team members to ensure timely project completion.
  • Assist the Engineering Manager in the design and evaluation of tender proposals and/or project construction.
  • Review construction design proposals and approve geotechnical components.
  • Supervise site and ground investigation activities.
  • Ensure correct data processing in accordance with QA/QC procedures.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (PhD, M.Tech, or B.Tech) in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical design and geotechnical works.
  • Proven experience in a lead or senior-level geotechnical role.
  • Mandatory experience in dredging, reclamation, and marine offshore projects.
  • Experience in large ground reclamation works, earthworks, foundations, and ground improvement projects.
  • Profound understanding of both theoretical and practical soil and rock mechanics.
  • Practical knowledge of geotechnical design software and analytical tools.
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical standards and guidelines.
