Job Summary: As an Asset Servicing Assistant Vice President within the Wealth Management Operations team, you will collaborate with global business and client-facing teams to efficiently manage corporate and class actions across various markets. You will drive strategic projects and shape the future of Operations, ensuring business activities are conducted efficiently, controlled, and timely by understanding, reviewing, and implementing processes, systems, and procedures in a growing business with complex product offerings. This position is crucial for seamless asset servicing execution, emphasizing leadership, operational excellence, and technological innovation to enhance service delivery and drive digital transformation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire life cycle of corporate actions, including mandatory, voluntary, and choice corporate actions, ensuring accurate and timely processing to meet client and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all aspects of class actions, proxy, and structured products, from initiation to resolution, ensuring compliance and optimal outcomes for clients.
- Drive performance management, staff development, training, operational controls, and policy adherence.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development by implementing structured career pathing initiatives that align individual goals with organizational objectives.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to team members, encouraging professional growth and skill enhancement.
- Collaborate with Client Services, Bankers, Custody teams, and other Operations organizations to enhance client experience.
- Drive the transformation agenda and work with global teams such as Technology and other transformation groups.
- Lead through effective communication, influence, and people management to drive results.
- Operate effectively in a high-volume, rapid-paced, deadline-oriented environment, manage KPIs to ensure quality and timeliness, and make data-driven decisions for enhanced client experience.
- Proactively manage escalations related to delivery issues, promote process improvement ideas, share best practices, manage risk, identify issues, and escalate as necessary.
- Create an effective control environment within the team, assist in developing, implementing, and periodically performing key controls, and establish effective partnerships with onshore leads/stakeholders through proactive communication, business reviews, and governance models.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Asset Servicing and Securities Market.
- Proficient in SWIFT Messages and Financial Markets.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage operations with minimal or no supervision.
- Act as the first level of escalation for complex issues.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of operational procedures.
- Understand, follow, and demonstrate compliance with all Risk and Control regulations.
- Identify, evaluate, and deliver process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that documentation is maintained up to date.
- Monitor and chase queries to ensure timely completion based on deadlines, urgency, and escalations.
- Conduct process training for new joiners.
