Job Overview

The Vice President of Leasing is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all leasing operations, driving occupancy, and maximizing revenue across the organization's property portfolio. This position leads the development and execution of leasing strategies, manages key stakeholder relationships, and ensures operational excellence in lease transactions and tenant engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily leasing operations, ensuring efficient execution of lease transactions and tenant onboarding
  • Develop and implement strategic leasing plans to optimize occupancy and revenue
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, partners, and prospective tenants through networking, referrals, and direct outreach
  • Oversee client meetings, property viewings, and leasing negotiations with professionalism and commercial acumen
  • Review and approve lease proposals, letters of offer, agreements, and related documentation
  • Ensure accurate and secure management of lease records, both physical and digital
  • Maintain up-to-date listings of available spaces and lead marketing efforts for vacant and upcoming units
  • Monitor lease expirations and renewals, ensuring proactive engagement with tenants
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support tenant move-ins, move-outs, and operational transitions
  • Recommend and implement policies and procedures to improve leasing performance and tenant satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in leasing, real estate, or commercial property management, including leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of lease structuring, negotiations, and real estate market trends
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and lease management systems
