Role Overview

The Mortgage Team Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end performance of the offshore team supporting Loan Processing, Client Service, and Marketing functions. This role requires a proactive leader with strong operational management, training, and recruitment expertise. The successful candidate will drive efficiency, service quality, and compliance across all workflows while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Operations

  • Manage daily operations of the loan support, client service, and marketing teams to ensure service level agreements and business targets are met
  • Monitor workflow allocation, productivity, and quality assurance across functions
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction

Training and Development

  • Develop, deliver, and update structured training programs for new hires and existing staff
  • Conduct skills assessments and identify capability gaps within the team
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and professional standards

Recruitment and Talent Management

  • Lead recruitment efforts to attract, select, and onboard high-performing candidates
  • Partner with Director and Branch Managers to build a sustainable talent pipeline
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and professional growth

Client Service and Marketing Oversight

  • Oversee client service delivery, ensuring responsiveness, professionalism, and issue resolution
  • Support marketing initiatives, including campaign execution, lead management, and brand alignment
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and client engagement strategies

Reporting and Stakeholder Management

  • Provide regular reporting on performance, team metrics, and operational outcomes
  • Act as primary point of contact for escalations and operational issues
  • Contribute to strategic planning and cross-functional initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Australian mortgage operations
  • Proven track record in team management, training, and recruitment
  • Strong understanding of mortgage processes, compliance requirements, and client service standards
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
