About the role

Join our team as a Finance & Operations Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations and ensuring efficient business processes.

This is a great role for someone with an accounting and finance background looking to do more and be part of the strategy and operations of the business, too.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage tax lodgements and compliance obligations for both the Australian and Philippines entities.
  2. Monitor the company's cash flow, forecasting short and long-term requirements and ensuring liquidity for operational and strategic needs.
  3. Process payroll for Australian and Philippines employees, ensuring compliance with ATO, BIR and other government agencies (SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth etc.)
  4. Manage the calculation and payment of sales team commissions and referral partner payments.
  5. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate, timely invoicing and collections.
  6. Perform monthly bank reconciliations across all accounts.
  7. Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and inter-company adjustments.
  8. Prepare quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing variance analysis and insights into financial performance.
  9. Develop and implement efficient operational systems and procedures

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of accounting and/or finance experience. Exposure to both the Australian and Filipino market required.
  • Bachelors degree and CA or CPA qualification required.
  • Strong understanding of Australian and Philippines accounting standards, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Proficient in the use of financial software and tools, such as Xero and Quickbooks and other ERP systems.
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Experienced in managing and developing high-performing finance teams
  • Comfortable working in a remote or hybrid work environment
