Instructional Designer for Language Training

As the Instructional Designer, you will manage and execute content projects intended to elevate goFLUENT's language learning solutions.

What You'll Do

As the Instructional Designer, you will manage and execute content projects intended to elevate goFLUENT's language learning solutions. Each project will have been identified as a high-priority business need and will have its unique goals and requirements that you will be tasked to understand and define content parameters for. Engage in extensive, thoughtful research; initiate conversations with subject matter experts and stakeholders; and seek to harness the latest edtech tools - all to develop learning content that's accessible, engaging, and practical.

Your key responsibilities will include:

identifying opportunities for content projects and presenting ideas for approval;

leading and executing high-priority content projects in alignment with strategic goals;

curating, designing, and optimizing content, with a focus on leveraging AI-generated materials;

initiating discussions with subject matter experts and stakeholders to establish project scopes and objectives;

conducting market and user research to inform and shape impactful content strategies;

collaborating with business analysts and operations teams to assess project viability and ensure effective deployment;

scheduling, monitoring, and adjusting project timelines, resources, and deliverables to maintain high standards of quality and meet deadlines.

What You'll Need

You must have:

excellent English writing and speaking skills (native, expert, or bilingual proficiency);

instructional design expertise with the ability to apply it in a corporate learning context;

experience in designing and implementing microlearning content;

experience in EFL/ESL teaching or the ability to conduct rigorous research to understand language acquisition and modern content delivery methods;

familiarity with or desire to master and apply the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR);

strong presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to a diverse audience;

strong interpersonal skills;

exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify inconsistencies and meticulously follow guidelines;

excellent research and problem-solving skills, with a flair for creativity and innovation;

proficiency in office software suites and a willingness to learn new instructional technologies and project management tools;

a positive can-do attitude, with a track record of working independently and collaboratively to drive projects to completion;

the ability to adapt to the unknown and unfamiliar, maintaining composure and efficiency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Experience with generative AI is a plus.
