Team Lead, Accounts Payable

Summary Description:

Working with an emerging shared services organization, the Team Lead is responsible for leading and supporting a Dover business segment's processing of accounts payables. This role manages a team of accounts payable professionals, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payables for designated regions and segments. The role involves investigating and resolving escalated issues while maintaining positive relationships with internal and external customers, measured by service level agreements and key performance indicators. Additionally, the role oversees the integration of business process transitions, improvements, and technology enablements into operations. The position reports to the Manager, AP, and is based in Cebu, Philippines.

• Operational Management:
  • Manage invoice processing production, capacity, and demand planning based on volume analysis of invoices, tickets, and emails.
  • Handle month-end closing and balance sheet integrity activities.
• Stakeholder Management:
  • Maintain supplier relationships through well-managed AP transactions.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with internal stakeholders and operating companies.
  • Collaborate with related functions such as Procurement, Supplier Data Management, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, and support teams like HR, IT, Global Process Transformation, and Global Technology Enablement to address issues and implement solutions.
• Performance Management:
  • Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Support career development within the hire-to-retire cycle.
  • Manage internal and external performance reporting.
  • Supervise a team of AP professionals.
• Process Improvement:
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including identifying process and system enhancements.
  • Partner with the AP manager to support strategic initiatives.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of accounts payable transactions and processes.
  • Address discrepancies related to supplier payments and invoices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related field preferred.
• At least three years of Accounts Payable experience in manufacturing, including:
  • Over one year in a shared services model preferred.
  • Over one year supervisory experience.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts).
• Lean training is a plus.
• Experience managing data in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
