he Tower Supplies Officer (Civil Engineer) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring the timely procurement, delivery, and quality control of construction materials and supplies required for tower site projects. This role ensures that all materials meet technical specifications and project standards, while maintaining cost-effectiveness and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Planning & Procurement
- Identify material requirements for tower construction projects in coordination with project engineers and site supervisors.
- Prepare material requests, specifications, and purchase requisitions in compliance with engineering standards.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of supplies.
- Inventory & Logistics Management
- Monitor and manage stock levels of civil and structural materials (cement, steel, aggregates, bolts, tower parts, etc.).
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and issuance of materials at project sites.
- Coordinate with logistics for the transport and delivery of tower supplies to multiple sites.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Inspect delivered materials to ensure they meet civil engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure all materials comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare documentation for quality control, inspection, and acceptance reports.
- Project Coordination & Support
- Work closely with civil engineers, site supervisors, and contractors to align supply delivery with project schedules.
- Provide technical input in supplier evaluation and selection processes.
- Assist in resolving material shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of supply requests, deliveries, and consumption.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on material status and inventory.
- Track costs and assist in budget monitoring for tower supplies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (licensed engineer preferred).
- At least 2–5 years of experience in construction supply management, procurement, or project engineering (preferably in the telecom, infrastructure, or construction industry).
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering materials, construction standards, and tower-related works.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools;
- Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
