Role Overview

The Officer, Wide Network is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise-level WAN infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity across multiple sites, data centers, and cloud environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining network resilience and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Design & Optimization: Plan, implement, and maintain WAN infrastructure that meets performance, scalability, and security standards.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor network health, respond to incidents, and resolve connectivity issues across branches and remote sites.
  • Collaboration & Support: Coordinate with Cybersecurity, Systems, and Application teams to deliver seamless network connectivity.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with ISPs and third-party vendors to resolve issues and ensure SLA compliance.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate network documentation—topologies, configurations, and change logs—for audit and risk compliance.
  • Security: Enforce WAN security standards in coordination with the Information Security team.
  • Innovation: Recommend and adopt new technologies to enhance network performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, ECE, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in WAN design, administration, and support.
  • Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, SD-WAN, VPNs, and enterprise firewalls.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar platforms.
  • Familiar with cloud and hybrid networks (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
