Job Overview:
The Occupational Health & Benefits Specialist will play a dual role in managing our employee health benefits, including HMO administration and utilisation, while also serving as an on-site nurse. This person will be responsible for ensuring that our health benefits programs are efficiently managed and cost-effective, as well as providing health services to our employees to promote wellness and address medical concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Benefits Administration:

  • Manage and administer health benefits programs (e.g., HMO, medical insurance).

  • Negotiate with HMO providers to secure optimal rates and services.
  • Monitor and manage the utilisation of health benefits to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding health benefits and coverage.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment and ongoing support for staff.

  • Occupational Health:

  • Provide basic healthcare services to employees, including first aid, health screenings, and wellness checkups.

  • Offer medical support and guidance for any workplace health issues.
  • Administer vaccinations, treatments, and health interventions as needed.
  • Promote health and wellness initiatives within the company.

  • Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure all health benefits and medical practices comply with local health regulations and company policies.

  • Monitor and track health benefits utilisation, preparing reports and analyses to prevent overspend and ensure effective distribution.
  • Liaise with HR and finance teams to manage costs related to healthcare programs and ensure transparency in utilisation.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Experience in benefits management, HR, or a similar administrative role.
  • Strong understanding of health insurance plans, particularly HMO schemes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience negotiating with health providers or HMOs.
  • Previous experience in an occupational health or corporate nursing role.
