Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages and oversees the regular activities in the Finance Department that are related to revenue, costs, taxation, and management reports while being compliant with regulations.
  • Monitors, reviews, and analyzes financial data to support management decision-making.
  • Ensures adherence to the corporate calendar including but not limited to financial reports and inventory management.
  • Ensures compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures the proper and continuous flow of accounting activities needed to maintain accurate complete financial records.
  • Suggests re-engineering of internal processes (e.g. contract docketing, operational project management system etc.) as the need arises.
  • Oversees proper documentation/records re: collections and payments.
  • Creates and applies financial controls and processes.
  • Maintains effective communication with other departments as a basis for assuring complete and accurate financial information and appropriate documentation.
  • Works with the direct manager to establish and monitor staff's growth, annual goals and objectives.
  • Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant.
  • Strong understanding of business principles and practices.
  • Superior attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledgeable in using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and preferably a proficient user of finance software.
  • Strong background in finance with demonstrated strategic planning and financial analysis skills.
  • With a solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Has working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
